Our Mission
Bookstays was built on a simple observation: the hotel's own member rate is usually the best deal in the room — and most booking sites would rather you didn't know that. We show it to you first. When booking direct with the brand is the better deal, we say so and send you to the hotel's own website with our agency accreditation attached — you keep your points, your status, and your relationship with the brand. Hampton this trip, La Quinta the next — whichever brand you choose, we keep every program working for you.
Bookstays is operated by TMS Travel Media Services LLC, an IATAN-accredited travel agency that has worked with the major hotel brands for over a decade. When our own Wholesale Rate honestly beats booking direct, you can book it right here. We earn a standard agency commission when you book direct through us, and a small margin when you book with us — about the same either way. That balance is the point: our recommendation has nothing to gain by bending.
Our Three Promises
If our rate can't beat the hotel's, we don't sell it. Sometimes we decline to sell our own product — when our Wholesale Rate can't honestly beat booking direct for your stay, we point you to the hotel instead.
The hotel's member rate is the benchmark. When it wins, we say so — and ties go to the hotel.
Every comparison is like-for-like. Same room, same cancellation terms — with the value of your points counted in the math.
Why Is Our Rate Sometimes Lower Than the Hotel's?
Fair question — an unexplained low price should make you suspicious. Hotels sell rooms two ways: retail, the public rates on their own site, protected by rate-parity promises; and wholesale, blocks of rooms released at trade prices to licensed sellers — the way the industry has filled uncertain demand for decades. Parity rules keep those trade prices out of public view, but allow them inside closed channels, behind a sign-in. We're an accredited agency: we buy at the trade price, add a small margin, and pass it through. That's why our Wholesale Rate is low, why it lives behind a free account, and why some dates simply don't have one — when the hotel doesn't need the help, their own member rate is your best deal, and we say exactly that.
